Gordon E. Lindsay
Born in the quiet hills of Manchester, Jamaica, Pastor Gordon E. Lindsay grew up in a vibrant household as the youngest of 14 children. From an early age, his family and Port Mahoe Seventh-Day Adventist church community nurtured a strong foundation of faith and godly values within him. Responding to that divine grounding, he gave his life to the Lord in baptism at the age of seven and was ordained as a local elder at seventeen.
A proud alumnus of Manchester High School, Pastor Lindsay initially fell in love with numbers and logic, which led him to Northern Caribbean University to pursue engineering and mathematics. While there, all the love he had for mathematics could not be used to calculate the calling he felt for pastoral ministry. Thus, the young man who left home to read for one degree, graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and a minor in Mathematics, yielding to the call of God on his life - entering full-time ministry with a heart eager to serve.
Driven by a genuine love for people, Pastor Lindsay has consistently bridged the gap between the church and the broader community. Over the years, he has served as a volunteer chaplain for the Jamaica Constabulary Force, led the Mathematics Department as a teacher and department chair at Port Maria High and Preparatory School, and was commissioned as a Justice of the Peace for the Island of Jamaica.
His deep commitment to uplifting everyday people was recognized in 2018 when he received the Governor General’s Achievement Award for Excellence in the parish of St. Mary, Jamaica.
Ordained as a minister of the Gospel in 2018, Pastor Lindsay devoted over a decade of ministry to the North East Jamaica Conference, including eight fulfilling years as Youth Ministries Director.
In 2022, answering a divine prompt to broaden his scope for service, he crossed oceans to attend the Theological Seminary at Andrews University, where he earned his Master of Divinity in 2024. During his time there, his passion for global mission work ignited. Traveling to Zambia, Papua New Guinea, Mexico, Guadeloupe, and Martinique, he walked alongside local communities, shared the gospel, and had the joy of seeing thousands baptized into the faith.
Following his graduate studies, Pastor Lindsay served with wholehearted devotion as Lead Pastor for the Body of Christ Seventh-day Adventist Church in Fort Wayne and the Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church in Marion, both in Indiana, within the Lake Region Conference.
Today, Pastor Lindsay no longer serves alone. He is blessed to share his life and ministry with his beloved wife, Dr. Ameilia Wanliss-Lindsay, a medical doctor from Jamaica.
Through every chapter, accomplishment, and mile traveled, Pastor Gordon Lindsay remains anchored in one enduring truth: he is a living testament to God’s grace and mercy—a gift he seeks to extend generously to every life he touches.
